The Rising Voice of Alternative Rap: Sulatibey

Born on July 8, 2003, Sultanbeg Ruslanov joined Hip-hop culture under the stage name Sulatibey. The artist, whose interest in music began at a very early age, enrolled in a music school at the age of 11 in the city of Seydi, Lebap province of Turkmenistan, where he received voice, vocal and singing training and learned to play various instruments.

Musical Identity and Style

Sulatibey was introduced to rap music at the age of 11 and, inspired by Russian rapper Timati, turned towards this field. By writing his first track at the age of 15, he made an impressive entrance into the Turkish Rap scene.

By embracing niche styles such as Alternative Rap, Emo Trap, Lo-Fi and Trapsoul, which have not yet become widespread in the Turkish rap scene, the artist has developed a musical identity that is uniquely his own. These styles promise emotional depth and a modern sound to the listener.

Currently continuing his education in the Digital Game Design department of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Istanbul Aydın University, Sulatibey pursues his music career alongside his academic studies.
