Born on January 10, 2007, İlker Hangün joined Hip-hop culture under the stage name Parazit. Living in Cyprus and stepping into his music career at the age of 15, this talented artist continues his production without slowing down and keeps making a name for himself.
His Musical Identity and Style
The city he lives in and the life experiences he has gone through are directly reflected in Parazit’s writing. In his lyrics, the artist presents his listeners with a sincere narrative by depicting street reality, trust issues, and fake friendships.
Stating that he does not closely follow the current Turkish Rap scene because he finds it too similar and monotonous, Parazit has in this way created his own unique, hybrid style. Blending “street style” with “emotional” elements, the artist refuses to stick to a single type (type) and puts into words whatever his mood at that moment requires.
Despite his young age, Parazit displays a mature attitude and offers the following advice to young musicians coming from the same path:
“Never give up, because through your art you can get one step closer to your dreams every single day.”
