The successful artist Ekin Doğa Alpsar (Alpsta), born in 1992, began his career with rock music and now carries it to the waters of Reggae Fusion and Indie, crowned with conservatory education.

Transitions between genres in the music world always require courage. Alpsta's story is exactly an example of this courage. His adventure, which began at the age of 15 with a guitar in hand and a passion for rock/metal, continued with the dust of the stage he inhaled through the bands he formed in high school. What set him apart was combining this self-taught spirit with an academic discipline.

From Conservatory Discipline to Stage Lights

Considering music not only as a passion but also as a science, Alpsta entered the Opera Department of the State Conservatory of Ankara University in 2016 to develop his talent at an academic level. After graduating from a rigorous five-year training, the artist was actively involved in many projects with his identity as a guitarist during this process. The technical mastery gained from classical education, blended with the sincerity of street culture, laid the foundations of his unique style today.

Irony and Reality in Rap Music

After his academic career, the artist turned his course to Rap music; he made notable projects such as "İşler Yolunda", "Çek Vur", and "Padişahım". Especially his energy in stage performances and the bond he established with the audience made him visible in the underground scene. The ironic language he uses in his songs and his unfiltered narratives, nourished by lived experiences, enabled him to build a sincere bridge with his listeners.
